Item No. 08E <br />Type of Business: Consent <br />Meeting Date: November 24, 2008 <br />Administrative Review: ______ <br /> City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Mayor and City Council <br />From: Mary Springer, Receptionist/Recycling Coordinator <br />Item Title/Subject: Resolution 7355, Approving the 2009 SCORE Recycling <br />Grant Request to Ramsey County <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />In conjunction with Ramsey County and the State of Minnesota SCORE Program, the <br />City of Mounds View is eligible to apply for grant monies to fund 2009 recycling <br />activities. As a part of the grant application, the City Council must formally request the <br />funding. This amount is projected to be $26,218. <br /> <br />The attached 2009 SCORE funding grant application describes Mounds View’s <br />recycling program and proposed budget allocation. Please note SCORE funds may only <br />be used for their allocated purposes. (e.g., administration funds may not be used for <br />publicity costs.) <br /> <br />In 2009, staff will again bring attention to ongoing composting in the City of Mounds <br />View.
