Proclaim October 20-24, 2008 as Minnesota Manufacturer’s Week in 6 <br /> Mounds View 7 <br /> 8 <br />Mayor Marty read the Proclamation declaring October 20 – 24 as Minnesota Manufacturer’s 9 <br />Week in Mounds View. 10 <br /> 11 <br />There will be an open house October 22, 2008 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at C.G. Hill and Sons in 12 <br />honor of Minnesota Manufacturer’s week. Contact Heidi Steinmetz at City Hall if anyone would 13 <br />like to attend. 14 <br /> 15 <br />C. Presentation by Dave Looby, Executive Director of Visit Minneapolis North 16 <br /> 17 <br />Mr. Looby appeared before Council and provided information on Visit Minneapolis North. 18 <br /> 19 <br />Council Member Mueller asked when the new brochure would be printed. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Mr. Looby indicated that they are going to be printing 10,000 visitor’s guides to get by. 22 <br /> 23 <br />Council Member Mueller indicated that the City has a couple of new restaurants to add to the 24 <br />brochure. 25 <br /> 26 <br />Mr. Looby indicated that when the brochure is updated they will contact the City for updates. 27 <br /> 28 <br />D. City Bond Rating Upgrade – Presentation by Ehlers 29 <br /> 30 <br />Shelly Eldridge of Ehlers appeared before Council and provided an update on the City’s bond 31 <br />rating upgrade, and present the council with a commemorative plaque. 32 <br /> 33 <br />7. COUNCIL BUSINESS 34 <br />A. Continued Public Hearing to Consider a Major Subdivision and PUD 35 <br />Amendment to Add “Retail” as an Allowed Use at the Mermaid, 2200 36 <br />County Highway 10. 37 <br /> 38 <br />Planner Heller provided an overview of the requested major subdivision and PUD amendment to 39 <br />allow retail as an allowed use at the Mermaid. 40 <br /> 41 <br />Planner Heller indicated that Staff recommends a park dedication fee be applied to the 1.4 acre 42 <br />with the difference between the 2000 and 2008 value being charged, because a park dedication 43 <br />fee was paid on the entire site in 2000. 44 <br /> 45
