Page 2 of 2 <br />The fourth agenda item was “next steps/process for approvals” and the brief discussion on this <br />topic was essentially that discussions with the FHWA are ongoing. <br />The fifth agenda item was the proposed schedule, and Mark Benson indicated that the <br />schedule is as follows: <br />Ɣ Fall 2009 – Complete preliminary design, project memorandum <br />Ɣ Fall 2010 – Complete final design <br />Ɣ Spring 2011 to Summer 2012 – Project construction in time for TCAAP opening <br />The sixth agenda item was funding, and Mark identified 4 potential funding options that are <br />under consideration, including State /local interchange funding (just $10 million available <br />statewide); federal earmark funding (Mark indicated that Cong. Oberstar and Cong. McCullum <br />are urging locals to first identify local matching funds); Mn/DOT Cooperative Agreement <br />funding (next solicitation for the FY 2011 cycle); and state bridge bonding. <br />The final agenda item was a discussion of the next meeting time.
