March 16, 2016

Current Resident
Address
City, State Zip

RE: Upcoming intersection closure and detour – County Rd. H and Red Oak Dr.

Dear Current Resident:

Metropolitan Council Environmental Services (MCES), operator of the metro-area wastewater collection and
treatment system, is making improvements to aging and deteriorating regional sanitary sewer facilities that serve
homes and business in the Cities of Fridley, New Brighton, and Mounds View.

Starting on March 28th through mid-May 2016, the intersection at County Rd. H and Red Oak Dr. will be closed to
thru traffic. Please refer to the enclosed detour route and follow the marked detour signs near the road closure.
Local residents and businesses located within the closed intersection will maintain access to driveways. This
intersection closure is anticipated to be in place for approximately six weeks.

The sewer improvement work required at this intersection will include excavating a pit to access the sanitary
sewer in order to perform some emergency repair and maintenance work. Fencing will be placed around the
work area for safety.

During construction, some temporary inconveniences may occur as the work takes place:
• Large construction equipment
• Noise and vibration
• Dust
• Parking and traffic restrictions
• Odors

We apologize for the inconvenience and we will do our best to minimize impacts to your residence during
construction. If you would like to discuss the upcoming construction or any questions related to the intersection
closure or detour, please contact our project team at info@naiphase5.com or 763-392-4648. We appreciate your
patience as we complete this important sewer work in your area.

For more project information, to sign up for the project e-mail or text updates, or to view past and present project
updates, visit the project website at http://www.metrocouncil.org/sewerconstruction/fridley/tricity

Sincerely,

Tim O’Donnell

Tim O’Donnell
Project Citizens Liaison
Metropolitan Council Environmental Services
