February 24, 2014, City Council Meeting Minutes. 4 <br /> 5 <br />Council Member Meehlhause requested a correction on Page 6, Line 27 should read Irondale 6 <br />Cross Country. In addition, on Page 7, Line 44 legislation should be changed to legislature. 7 <br /> 8 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Mueller. To Approve the February 24, 2014, City Council meeting 9 <br />minutes as corrected. 10 <br /> 11 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 12 <br /> 13 <br />11. REPORTS 14 <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. 15 <br /> 16 <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated he attended the Twin Cities Gateway Board meeting last 17 <br />week. He noted Mounds View would be awarded $6,500 for Festival in the Park for promotional 18 <br />needs. He reviewed the healthy balance of funds accumulated by Twin Cities Gateway in 2013, 19 <br />noting lodging taxes were $60,000 higher than estimated. He suggested Steve Markuson attend 20 <br />a future Council worksession meeting. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Council Member Mueller noted the Mounds View Business Council met last week. The group 23 <br />would meet again on April 9th. She reported the League of Minnesota Cities Finance Department 24 <br />will meet to discuss budgetary considerations for 2015, including the insurance trust and building 25 <br />expansion. She noted the 2014 League of Minnesota Cities Conference would be held on June 26 <br />18-20 in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Sessions planned for the event were reviewed. She explained 27 <br />she planned to attend the conference. 28 <br /> 29 <br /> Mayor Flaherty stated he participated in the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Bel Rae Assisted 30 <br />Living of Mounds View (formerly Coventry Senior Living). He was excited to see this 31 <br />development beginning. He reported the 10th Annual Town Hall Meeting would be held on 32 <br />Monday, March 31, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. The schedule of events planned for the meeting was 33 <br />reviewed and all residents were encouraged to attend. 34 <br /> 35 <br />B. Reports of Staff. 36 <br /> 37 <br />City Administrator Ericson provided the Council with an update on the City Hall monument 38 <br />sign. He explained the vendor had found a solution for the electrical concern and the sign should 39 <br />be operational by next week. 40 <br /> 41 <br />City Administrator Ericson noted Ramsey County was requesting Bel Rae Assisted Living of 42 <br />Mounds View to find an alternative access point to their site. This change would require an 43 <br />amendment to the Limited Use Agreement to allow for parking and access on Greenfield. He 44
