RESOLUTION 8720 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS AND APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT FOR THE 2016 SANITARY SEWER REHABILITATION PROJECT WHEREAS, Public Works prepared project documents for the repair work in accordance with industry standards, and a public bid solicitation was sent out with 3 bids being received; and WHEREAS, Lametti & Sons, Inc. of Hugo, Minnesota, submitted the lowest bid in the amount of $162,851.00; and WHEREAS, City Council approved a construction contract with Lametti & Sons, Inc. to perform the sanitary sewer work for $162,851.00 in Resolution 8564; and, WHEREAS, City Council approved additional funding in the amount of $18,285.00 for necessary contract modifications to complete the project in Resolution 8608; and, WHEREAS, Lametti & Sons, Inc. has successfully completed all project construction and met all other contract requirements for the Project with a substantial completion date of February 8, 2017 and a final construction cost of $182,665.00; and WHEREAS, City staff recommends accepting the completed construction work and issuing final payment for $33,568.20 to Lametti & Sons, Inc., pending submission of the IC-134 forms and other required project closeout documents. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: 1. All work completed under the contract between the City and Lametti & Sons, Inc. for construction of the 2016 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project is hereby accepted and approved. 2. The Finance Director is authorized to issue final payment of $33,568.20 to Lametti & Sons, Inc. for completing construction of the Project, pending approval by Brian Erickson, Public Works Director/City Engineer.
