Mounds View City Council April 24, 2017 <br />Regular Meeting Page 6 <br /> <br /> 1 <br />Council Member Meehlhause invited the public to attend an Open House at the Ramsey County 2 <br />Public Works Building in Arden Hills from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. regarding County Road I. 3 <br /> 4 <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated on Saturday, April 29th from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. 5 <br />Merwin Liquors is going to be holding an Open House. 6 <br /> 7 <br />Council Member Meehlhause noted he would be attending a luncheon on Thursday, April 27th 8 <br />for an organization that assists the homeless. 9 <br /> 10 <br />Council Member Meehlhause indicated he would be attending an NYFS Board Meeting on 11 <br />Thursday, April 27th to review the organizations strategic plan. 12 <br /> 13 <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated on Monday, May 1st he would be attending a YMCA 14 <br />Advisory meeting with City Administrator Ericson and Finance Director Beer. 15 <br /> 16 <br />Mayor Mueller reported nominations were not be accepted for exceptional women in City 17 <br />government with the League of Minnesota Cities. The award would be presented in June at their 18 <br />Annual Conference in Rochester, Minnesota. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Mayor Mueller explained the Festival in the Park Committee would meet next on Tuesday, May 21 <br />16th at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall. Residents interested in volunteering were encouraged to attend this 22 <br />meeting. 23 <br /> 24 <br />Mayor Mueller stated tennis courts and playing surfaces were closed for maintenance on April 25 <br />21st and 22nd. 26 <br /> 27 <br />Mayor Mueller commented on Thursday, April 20th she attended the 2017 Safety and Loss 28 <br />Control workshop that was offered by the League of Minnesota Cities. She noted this was a full 29 <br />day event and offered the Council a summary of the sessions she attended. 30 <br /> 31 <br />Mayor Mueller commented on Friday, April 28th and Saturday, April 29th she would be attending 32 <br />the Minnesota Mayors Association Conference. 33 <br /> 34 <br />Mayor Mueller stated beginning on May 1st the City Council meetings would start at 6:00 p.m. 35 <br />instead of 7:00 p.m. She asked if the meeting minutes, just and correct claims, and consent 36 <br />agenda could be approved prior to the Council taking public comments. City Administrator 37 <br />Ericson suggested the Council discuss this at the May 1st work session meeting. 38 <br /> 39 <br /> B. Reports of Staff. 40 <br /> 41 <br />Finance Director Beer noted the City’s bond sale would be finalized on Thursday of this week. 42 <br /> 43 <br />Public Works Director Erickson reported work on Area I had begun and should be completed by 44 <br />mid-July. 45
