Item 09B
Monday, June 12, 2017
Page 2

Recommendation:
Staff recommends closing the public hearing. If the delinquent utility bill is not paid in full before the start of
this City Council Meeting, then Staff recommends denial of the liquor application. The property would be
ineligible for an On-Sale Intoxicating Liquor License in accordance with the Mounds View City Code §502.04,
subd 2a, if the City’s Utility Bill and State liquor sales taxes are not paid. However, if the City Council wishes
to approve this license contingent on full payment of utility bill, and a satisfactory criminal background check,
then Staff has prepared resolution(s). Staff recommends approving the liquor license contingent on a
satisfactory criminal background check, and records stating all checks and wire transfers have been
approved and cleared. If approved, this license will expire on June 30, 2018.

Respectfully Submitted,

___________________________
Desaree Crane
