After reviewing the 1 <br />current pay plan as directed by the Council, it was determined the custodian was being over 2 <br />compensated. Staff recommended the Council authorize advertisement for the Public Works 3 <br />Facilities Maintenance/Custodian position and approve a new pay plan. 4 <br /> 5 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Bergeron/Meehlhause. REPORTS 12 <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. 13 <br /> 14 <br />Council Member Gunn reported National Night Out would be held on Tuesday, August 1st. She 15 <br />stated the Police Department would be hosting a pre-party on Saturday, July 29th from 2:00 p.m. 16 <br />to 5:00 p.m. behind the Mounds View Police Department. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Council Member Bergeron reported he attended the League of Minnesota Cities Conference last 19 <br />week in Rochester, Minnesota. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Council Member Meehlhause thanked Council Member Gunn for sharing the information 22 <br />regarding the National Night Out Pre-Party. He stated he received an email last week from Twin 23 <br />Cities Gateway and noted hotel taxes through April were down 6.6% in 2017 when compared to 24 <br />2016. 25 <br /> 26 <br />Council Member Meehlhause reported he would be attending an NYFS Board meeting on 27 <br />Thursday of this week. 28 <br /> 29 <br />Mayor Mueller thanked each of the Councilmembers for attending the League of Minnesota 30 <br />Cities last week. She commented on the sessions she attended and stated she learned a great deal 31 <br />from this conference. 32 <br /> 33 <br />Mayor Mueller invited the public to attend the upcoming Festival in the Park committee meeting 34 <br />which would be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall. She noted the Festival 35 <br />in the Park event was fast approaching and would be held on Saturday, August 19th. 36 <br /> 37 <br />Mayor Mueller reported the City was also seeking volunteers to assist with planning a celebration 38 <br />for the Mounds View’s 60th anniversary which would occur in 2018. 39 <br /> 40 <br />Council Member Gunn reported County Road I was currently closed. She encouraged residents 41 <br />to plan their alternate routes accordingly. Public Works Director Erickson commented on the 42 <br />proposed timeline for this project. 43 <br /> 44
