As this is an added item which was not included in the award to the construction contract, staff is <br />recommending that this cost be funded separately from the building contingency of $312,592 as <br />provided under Resolution 8719. Currently, staff is working with Oertel and Ebert on some <br />unforeseen site conditions regarding soil corrections as well as correcting some issues related to <br />the plumbing and mechanical systems. The cost for these issues will be part of the construction <br />contingency. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends that the design, purchase and installation of the vehicle chassis wash be <br />approved. Additionally, staff recommends that the cost for the chassis wash be taken from the <br />project fund (480-4180-7050). <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br /> <br />Brian L.
