<br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 8799 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVING THE EXPANSION OF THE HOCKEY RINK AT HILLVIEW PARK <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation and Forestry Commission, along with Public <br />Works Staff, has been evaluating options for the hockey rink at Hillview Park; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, options have included eliminating the rink, moving the rink north of its <br />current location, or making the rink larger; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Commission felt it would be best to leave the rink in the same <br />general location but expand its length to the west; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Staff received a quote from Century Fence of Forest Lake, MN, to <br />install the metal frame and chain link fencing at a cost of $8,025.00; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Staff will perform the asphalt and soil removal, <br />installation of aglime, new boards and painting of the boards at a cost of $6,825.00; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, funding for this project would come from the Park Dedication account <br />451-4470-7050, with a budget of $14,850.00. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> <br />1. Accepts the quote from Century Fence, Inc. of Forest Lake, MN, to install metal <br />posts and chain link fencing for the expansion of the hockey rink at Hillview <br />Park, for $8,025.00. <br />2. Approves the purchase of aglime and lumber from vendors for the purpose of <br />this project at a cost of $6,825.00. <br />3. Total project cost not to exceed $14,850.00, to be funded from the Park <br />Dedication account, 451-4470-7050. <br /> <br />4. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to <br />execute all appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by <br />this resolution. <br /> <br />5. The Mayor and City Administrator, staff and consultants are hereby authorized <br />and directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or <br />convenient in order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution. <br />
