Item No: 2 <br />Meeting Date: November 5, 2012 <br />Type of Business: Work Session <br />Administrator Review: ____ <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />Cc: Economic Development Commission (EDC) <br />From: Heidi Steinmetz, Economic Development Specialist <br />Item Title/Subject: Review Possible Creation of a County Road 10 Corridor <br />Visioning Task Force <br />Background <br />At the October 8, 2012, EDA meeting, the EDA discussed the EDC’s recommendation to <br />possibly create a visioning task force for County Road 10. <br />In mid-October, the EDA received copies of the two following County Road 10 studies to <br />determine if the two studies (or components of the two studies) are relevant today: <br /> 2002 County Road 10 Redevelopment and Redevelopment Plan <br /> 2006 Premium Stop Redevelopment Area Study <br />Discussion <br />On October 8, 2012, the EDA briefly discussed the following composition of the possible <br />task force: <br /> Two City Council members <br /> Two EDC members <br /> Business representatives <br /> Mounds View resident (s) <br />City staff suggests refining the possible task force composition to include the following: <br /> Two City Council members <br /> One EDC member <br /> One Planning Commission member <br /> Two or three business representatives (at least one rep. whose business is <br />located on County Road 10) <br /> One Mounds View resident
