1 <br />BY-LAWS OF <br />MOUNDS VIEW CABLE COMMITTEE <br /> <br />MISSION STATEMENT <br /> <br />The mission of the Mounds View Cable Committee (hereinafter referred as the “Cable <br />Committee”) is to advise the City Council on issues pertaining City programming, <br />provide a communications link for Mounds View citizens with city government that will <br />enable them to better understand the operations and functions of (city) government and to <br />become more active participants in community life through the use of the government <br />access cable channel. <br /> <br /> <br />ARTICLE I. <br /> <br />NAME <br /> <br />Section 1. NAME: Mounds View Cable Committee <br /> <br />Section 2. ABBREVIATIONS: Throughout these By-Laws whenever it is desirable <br />to abbreviate the name of the Mounds View Cable Committee, the initials “MVCC” shall <br />be used. <br /> <br />ARTICLE II. <br /> <br />PURPOSE <br /> <br />The Cable Committee is a volunteer committee of Mounds View citizens dedicated to <br />developing awareness and understanding of community events, city governmental <br />meetings, programs and issues, and information about health, recreation, the <br />environment, security (i.e. police, fire, etc.) and community issues through the use of the <br />government access cable channel. <br /> <br />ARTICLE III <br /> <br />MVCC CABLE COMMITTEE MEMBERSHIP <br /> <br />Section 1. COMPOSITION of MVCC CABLE COMMITTEE COMMITTEE <br />MEMBERSHIP. The MVCC Cable Committee is a working group that identifies, <br />develops and assists in the production of produces television programming for the <br />government access cable channel. This committee is comprised of five to seven voting <br />members plus nonvoting members consisting of technical staff as well as a department <br />head facilitator.
