<br /> <br />RESOLUTION 7189 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVING A POLICY FOR DEDICATING MEMORIALS IN CITY PARKS <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has been discussing the possibility of developing <br />guidelines / policy for allowing memorials in City parks (or other City property); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has allowed such memorials to be placed in City parks in <br />the past, but has not provided any guidelines or policies for such memorials; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation and Forestry Commission has discussed <br />this subject and has developed a recommended policy; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on November 5, 2007, the City Council reviewed and discussed this <br />policy. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT the Mounds View City Council <br />does hereby approve the attached policy for dedicating memorials in City parks and <br />authorizes the City Administrator to execute it. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 26th day of November 2007. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ____________________________________ <br /> Rob Marty, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />____________________________________ <br /> James Ericson, Interim City Administrator <br /> <br /> (SEAL) <br />
