CABLE TV REVENUE COMMENTARY <br /> 111 <br /> Cable TV North Central owns and operates a cable television <br /> system in Mounds View and several other neighboring cities. <br /> Pursuant to the franchise agreement Cable TV North Central pays <br /> each city a franchise fee which is based upon the number of <br /> subscribers and the level of services purchased by subscribers in <br /> each city. The North Central Cable TV Commission was created by <br /> a joint powers agreement with neighboring cities to administer <br /> the franchises in each of the member cities. A portion of the <br /> franchise fees paid are used for the operation of the Commission; <br /> the remainder is used for the telecasting of City Council <br /> meetings and other types of public service broadcasting. During <br /> l494 the—CCi-ty anticipates receiving approximately $22, 600 for <br /> local programming activities. <br /> • <br />
