DEPARTMENTAL BUDGET NARRATIVE <br /> • FUND: Cable TV <br /> DEPARTMENT: Cable TV <br /> DEPARTMENTAL NARRATIVE: <br /> The objective of the Cable TV program is to utilize the <br /> government access channel to cover informational programs such as . <br /> council meetings, special announcements, city activities <br /> calendar, candidates meetings and other_ programming. <br /> ACTIVITIES <br /> The Cable TV Committee has become active in the regular <br /> programming of "A View from the Mound" . This program is taped <br /> monthly and highlights people, businesses and interesting <br /> activities happening in the community. Other special programming <br /> projects include a historical recap of Mounds View, a marketing <br /> tape, special meetings coverage, athletic game coverage and- other <br /> special projects. <br /> DEPARTMENTAL GOALS <br /> • <br /> • <br /> • The Cable Committee goals are to provide quality programming on <br /> the Cable TV Government Access Channel 16 for the cable viewers <br /> of the community. Also, the committee wishes to increase Cable <br /> TV subscribers in order to provide additional funding which means <br /> additional resources for additional programming. <br /> DEPARTMENTAL EXPENDITURE COMMENTS <br /> The budget reflects a regular part-time Cable TV Technician and <br /> other assistants as necessary. The Cable TV expenditures use <br /> funding distributed by the local Cable TV franchise. The amount <br /> is relative to the-number of cable TV subscribers - in the City of - <br /> Mounds View. Expenditures for this budget reflect t-hP opPra±ing <br /> materials and costs of the Cable TV operation. <br /> 411 <br />
