MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING COMMISSION <br />RESOLUTION NO. 373-93 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTIAONND USED LOTS WITHINBLISTHE CITYT OF A OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />ON NEW <br />WHEREAS, at the direction of the City Council, theyiew . <br />Mounds View Planning Commission has conducted an in-depth <br />of the requirements for establishment of new and used car lots <br />within the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission review included review <br />of Chapters' 40, 59 and 109 of the Municipal Code; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has determined that <br />there exists a need for further review and possible amendment of <br />the existing regulations governing the operation of new and used <br />car lots within the City; and <br />WHER-AS, the Planning commission recognizes the fact <br />project to <br />that groups have been formed thepart <br />Cit including land use and <br />study issues that are facing Y <br />business establishment; and <br />WHEREAS, the findings of these study groups may provide <br />direction for both the Planning Commission and City Council on <br />issues of land use within the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission wishes to incorporate <br />these findings in their further review of the new and used car <br />lot issue. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View <br />Planning Commission recommends the placement of an 18 month <br />moratorium on the establishment of additional new and used car <br />lots within the City of Mounds View. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning Commission <br />does not intend this moratorium to prevent the continuance of or <br />the expansion of currently licensed new and used car lots within <br />the City. <br />
