the children during recess and meal breaks. <br /> j . permit instructors to participate in in-service training <br /> activities. <br /> k. allow the instructor to remain in the school during. the <br /> entire school day on DARE instructions days, except for absences <br /> necessitated by emergencies. <br /> 1. designate a liaison from the City to work with School <br /> District's DARE coordinator. <br /> 3 . City will apply all levy funds received from School District <br /> pursuant to this Agreement to salary and other related compensation <br /> costs for the DARE instructors. <br /> B. SCOPE OF SERVICES-SCHOOL DISTRICT <br /> 1. School District will provide classroom space and allot one <br /> period a week to the targeted classes for delivery of the DARE <br /> program, with a teacher present in the classroom to assist the <br /> instructor. <br /> 2 . School District Will'provide a Project DARE coordinator/contact <br /> person to work with the City liaison. <br /> 3 . Effective the school year 1992-1993 , School District shall <br /> allocate the funds levied pursuant to the provisions of Minn. Stat. <br /> Section 275, 125, Subd 6j according to the following formula: <br /> a. Each law enforcement agency providing DARE services in <br /> the School District shall receive a base allocation of $2,500. <br /> b. The remaining levy funds shall be allocated to the law <br /> enforcement agencies on a per pupil basis for each of the schools <br /> for which the law enforcement agencies are providing DARE services. <br /> The pupil count for each school shall be based on School District's <br /> April 15 enrollment projection report. <br /> c. For the school year 1992-1992, City shall receive a total <br /> allocation of $8,368 based on application of this formula. <br /> 4 . It is acknowledged that the levy fund allocation from School <br /> District to City will change from year to year based on total funds <br /> levied and the pupil population projection for each school. <br /> 5. School District shall make payment of City's portion of the <br /> levy funds as follows: During each school year, one-half shall be <br /> paid to City by July 15 of the school year and one-half shall be <br /> paid to City by December 15 of the school year. <br /> C. GENERAL PROVISIONS <br /> 1. This agreement shall be effective for one year from the date of <br /> execution by both parties and shall automatically renew for <br /> additional one year periods unless a party notifies the other party <br /> 90 days prior to the expiration of the one year period of <br /> termination at the end of the current contract year. <br />
