Mounds View City Council January 2, 2007 <br />Regular Meeting Page 2 <br /> <br />Mayor Marty welcomed the new and returning Council Members. 1 <br /> 2 <br />7. COUNCIL BUSINESS 3 <br /> 4 <br /> A. Resolution 6992 Selection of the Official Newspaper, Acting Mayor, 5 <br /> Treasurer and Official Depositories for 2007 6 <br /> 7 <br />Assistant to the City Administrator Crane reviewed Resolution 6992 for Council and 8 <br />recommended that The Bulletin be considered as the Official Newspaper due to the lower rate. 9 <br /> 10 <br />Mayor Marty nominated Council Member Stigney as Acting Mayor. 11 <br /> 12 <br />Council agreed. 13 <br /> 14 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Flaherty. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 6992, 15 <br />Selection of the Official Newspaper, Acting Mayor, Treasurer and Official Depositories for 2007 16 <br />as Amended to include The Bulletin as the Official Newspaper and to Select Council Member 17 <br />Stigney as Acting Mayor. 18 <br /> 19 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 20 <br /> 21 <br /> B. Resolution 6993 Appointing City Council Members and City Staff 22 <br /> Representatives for City Commissions and other Organizations 23 <br /> 24 <br />Assistant to the City Administrator Crane reviewed the Staff report and asked the Council to 25 <br />consider the necessary appointments to complete the Resolution. 26 <br /> 27 <br />Council Member Mueller agreed to attend the Ramsey County League of Local Governments 28 <br />meetings. 29 <br /> 30 <br />Council Member Stigney agreed to attend the Spring Lake Park/Blaine/Mounds View Firemen’s 31 <br />Relief Association meetings. 32 <br /> 33 <br />Council Members Flaherty and Stigney will remain on the Human Resources Committee. 34 <br /> 35 <br />Council Members Flaherty and Hull will meet as the YMCA Advisory Committee. 36 <br /> 37 <br />Council Member Hull agreed to attend the Northwest Youth and Family Services meetings. 38 <br /> 39 <br />Mayor Marty will continue on I-35 Corridor and League of Minnesota Cities and North Metro 40 <br />Mayors. 41 <br /> 42 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Flaherty/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 6992, 43 <br />Selection of the Official Newspaper, Acting Mayor, Treasurer and Official Depositories for 2007. 44 <br /> 45
