Mounds View City Council January 2, 2007 <br />Regular Meeting Page 4 <br /> <br />Mr. Cramblit indicated that he has been doing so for two years. 1 <br /> 2 <br />Council Member Mueller asked if he had done any other volunteer or community work. 3 <br /> 4 <br />Mr. Cramblit responded that he had not had an opportunity to do so until now. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Gabriela Kulp addressed Council and asked for consideration of being on the Planning 7 <br />Commission as she has lived in the City for 11 years and is employed as a realtor. 8 <br /> 9 <br />Council Member Mueller asked if Ms. Kulp has done any other volunteer or community service 10 <br />work. 11 <br /> 12 <br />Ms. Kulp indicated that she volunteers for Paint a Thon and at the Anoka County Armory and for 13 <br />toy drives during the holiday season. 14 <br /> 15 <br />Council Member Flaherty asked if her schedule would be an issue with her employment as a 16 <br />realtor. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Ms. Kulp indicated that she has a very flexible schedule. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Todd Lang expressed his interest in being on the Planning Commission and provided background 21 <br />information on his employment and training that would assist him in being a Planning 22 <br />Commissioner. 23 <br /> 24 <br />Council Member Mueller asked if Mr. Lang had done any other volunteer work. 25 <br /> 26 <br />Mr. Lang indicated that he has been too busy with raising kids and his career to this point but 27 <br />would like to begin doing so. 28 <br /> 29 <br />Council Member Stigney asked if the Planning Commission made any recommendations as to 30 <br />who should serve the one year term. 31 <br /> 32 <br />Director Ericson indicated that the discussion was that the person with the fewest number of 33 <br />votes would serve the one year term but there was a three way tie for the fewest votes and that is 34 <br />why there was no one recommended for the one year term. 35 <br /> 36 <br />Council Member Hull indicated that Mr. Lang should get a three year seat as he got the most 37 <br />votes. 38 <br /> 39 <br />Council Member Flaherty said he would like to go with the recommendation of the Planning 40 <br />Commission. 41 <br /> 42 <br />Mayor Marty indicated that he would like to consider Ms. Walsh-Kaczmarek for the one year 43 <br />term. 44 <br /> 45
