He then asked the new 7 Council Members to watch every buck that is spent. 8 9 Mayor Marty indicated he would contact Mr. Jahnke to discuss the matter. 10 11 6. SPECIAL ORDER OF BUISNESS 12 13 A. Presentation by Kari Murlowski re: Alternative Wellness Center 14 15 This item was removed from the Agenda. 16 17 7. COUNCIL BUSINESS 18 19 A. Public Hearing to Consider Resolution 6991, a Conditional Use Permit for an 20 Oversize Garage at 8410 Knollwood Drive; Planning Case CU2006-010 21 22 Planning Associate Heller explained the Conditional Use Permit Application for an oversized 23 garage at 8410 Knollwood Drive. 24 25 Planning Associate Heller indicated that the Comp Plan encourages improvements to properties 26 and the CUP process requires the City to take a look at any potential impact to surrounding 27 properties. She then said that she feels this addition would be a benefit to this property owner 28 and the surrounding area. 29 30 Planning Associate Heller explained that a variance for a reduced side yard setback was approved 31 by the Planning Commission. She then explained that the addition to the garage would match the 32 existing structure and blend in well. 33 34 Mayor Marty opened the public hearing. 35 36 There were no public comments. 37 38 Mayor Marty closed the public hearing. 39 40 Council Member Flaherty asked if the Applicant discussed this project with the neighbor to the 41 south. 42 43 The Applicant indicated that he had discussed the garage expansion with the neighbor and the 44 neighbor did not have an issue with it. 45
