Mounds View City Council January 8, 2007 <br />Regular Meeting Page 13 <br /> <br />Mayor Marty indicated that in reading over the Minutes on Page 4 he thought of something else 1 <br />where Council was discussing Knollwood Place Townhome Developments he was wondering if 2 <br />a privacy fence could be required to prevent snowplow drivers from pushing snow off the end of 3 <br />the driveway. 4 <br /> 5 <br />Council Member Stigney requested the following changes: On Page 13, Line 17 asking for costs 6 <br />for putting in concrete barrier curb and gutter. Line 19 should read looks like the 2003 feasibility 7 <br />report with a barrier bituminous or concrete curb and until the changes are made that show the 8 <br />cost difference between surmountable bituminous versus concrete barrier curb he will not 9 <br />support the project. 10 <br /> 11 <br />Line 25 he said he would like the cost information to reconstruct the streets now as they exist 12 <br />without barrier concrete curb and gutter. 13 <br /> 14 <br />Council Member Stigney requested the following change: On Page 20, Line 44, does not think 15 <br />that someone should be hired outside to lease and manage the banquet center. 16 <br /> 17 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Mueller. To Approve the December 11, 2006 City Council meeting 18 <br />minutes as amended by comments to Staff and at this meeting. 19 <br /> 20 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 21 <br /> 22 <br />11. REPORTS 23 <br /> 24 <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council 25 <br /> 26 <br />Mayor Marty announced that NW Youth and Family Services is having their awards banquet on 27 <br />February 1, 2007 and one of Mounds View’s residents has received an outstanding service to 28 <br />youth award. 29 <br /> 30 <br />Director Ericson explained that the City has been focusing a different business every month on 31 <br />the City’s Website and in the Mounds View Matters. This month the spotlight is on Fedor’s 32 <br />Market. 33 <br /> 34 <br /> B. Reports of Staff 35 <br /> 36 <br />City Administrator Ulrich announced that 2006 Citizenship nominations are being solicited with 37 <br />the deadline the end of February 2007. 38 <br /> 39 <br />City Administrator Ulrich noted that the Council/Staff Leadership Retreat is scheduled for 40 <br />February 7 and 8, 2007 at the Random Park building. 41 <br /> 42 <br />City Administrator Ulrich announced that the joint meeting with New Brighton is scheduled for 43 <br />February 26, 2007 at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers. 44 <br /> 45
