Mounds View City Council January 8, 2007 <br />Regular Meeting Page 12 <br /> <br /> 1 <br />Mayor Marty indicated he discussed this with the City Administrator today and he brought it up 2 <br />last year as well. He then said that when Kimberly Blackford was still here it was discovered 3 <br />there was no pay scale for part time help so that was drafted and Dave Olson started at Step 4 but 4 <br />he has been here a longtime and that is why he lobbied to start him at Step 5. He then said he 5 <br />wants to move Dave Olson to Step 5 and advertise for the rehire position. 6 <br /> 7 <br />Council Member Stigney indicated it is not on the agenda and Human Resources Committee 8 <br />should deal with that. 9 <br /> 10 <br />Mayor Marty indicated he would like to direct this to Human Resources Committee to consider 11 <br />moving Dave Olson to Step 5. 12 <br /> 13 <br />MOTION/SECNOD: Marty/Stigney. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7002, 14 <br />Approving to Hire a Replacement for a Part Time Cable TV Operator in the Mounds View Cable 15 <br />Department. 16 <br /> 17 <br />Council Member Flaherty indicated that he feels that Mr. Olson is an excellent employee and this 18 <br />should be looked at by the Human Resources Committee. 19 <br /> 20 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 21 <br /> 22 <br />9. JUST AND CORRECT CLAIMS 23 <br /> 24 <br />Council Member Flaherty asked for an explanation on the LCD TV recorders and transceivers. 25 <br /> 26 <br />City Administrator Ulrich indicated that this is part of the police video that they are doing for 27 <br />video surveillance adopted by Council and paid for by federal grant money. 28 <br /> 29 <br />Council Member Mueller asked what a street opening refund is. 30 <br /> 31 <br />Public Works Director Lee explained that anyone who needs to do work in the right of way 32 <br />requires a security deposit and, once the work is done, then the money is refunded. 33 <br /> 34 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Hull/Mueller. To Approve the Just and Correct Claims as Presented. 35 <br /> 36 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 37 <br /> 38 <br />10. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 39 <br /> 40 <br />A. City Council Minutes December 11, 2006 41 <br /> 42 <br />Mayor Marty indicated he called his amendments in. He then asked about Page 2, Line 72. Staff 43 <br />will review it. 44 <br /> 45
