Alpunds View City Council Page Thirteen <br /> Wgular Meeting February 24, 1992 <br /> MOTION/SECOND: Wuori/Quick to approve Resolution No. 4196 Approving <br /> a Planned Unit Development Amendment Request by Everest Development for <br /> Mounds View Business Park South Parking Lot <br /> 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> CONSENT AGENDA <br /> Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, read the proposed Consent Agenda. <br /> Mayor Linke asked the Council if they desired any item removed from the <br /> Consent Agenda. <br /> MOTION/SECOND: Rickaby/Quick to approve Consent Agenda as <br /> presented. <br /> 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> COUNCIL BUSINESS: <br /> 1. Ric Minetor, Director of Public Works/City Engineer, introduced <br /> Mr. Jim Hanson and Mr. Mark Benson from MnDOT who were present to <br /> 410 discuss the Highway 10 project and the noise barriers associated <br /> with it. These barriers will be constructed of wood planks and <br /> concrete supports. <br /> Mr. Hanson and Mr. Benson showed a video that explained noise <br /> • and noise barriers and their effects. <br /> Councilmember Rickaby asked if there are many problems with <br /> maintenance or have the barriers along 35W had to be replaced. <br /> Mr. Hanson stated the only time he has had to replace a barrier <br /> was due to an accident at 66th and 35W. <br /> Councilmember Wuori asked if the new road would meet freeway <br /> standards . Will noise barriers be placed further south and east <br /> of existing area? <br /> Mr. Hanson's reply was that there was no funding for that. <br /> Councilmember Wuori stated that residents on Laport and Colonial <br /> Village-had comp-lained-about-noise--they now-have- since--6-10. <br /> Mr. Hanson explained why the noise seemed louder to them and <br /> why they heard it now and not before. <br />
