Mounds View City Council April 9, 2007 <br />Regular Meeting Page 7 <br /> <br />Community Development Director Ericson stated that would require a major subdivision to draw 1 <br />the lot line to the north by five feet and there would be a question of who would own that five-2 <br />foot wide strip of land. He then said that there is an easement that would be granted as a part of 3 <br />this approval. He further said that the Fedors could be made a party to the subdivision but The 4 <br />Station would need to sell a portion of the property to make it work. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Mayor Marty indicated that the 60-day deadline is April 15 so there needs to be action taken. 7 <br /> 8 <br />Director Ericson indicated that Staff would request an extension, if necessary. 9 <br /> 10 <br />Mayor Marty indicated that he talked to Planner Heller about Item 4 as there are currently 17 11 <br />parking spaces shown but it is all paved and where the one wing of the building is being removed 12 <br />that will be paved over so he sees no issue with parking. 13 <br /> 14 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Flaherty/Mueller. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7036, 15 <br />Approving Minor Subdivision and Conditional Use Permit for the Property Located at 2280 16 <br />County Road I, “The Station” and Include Park Dedication Fee of 10%. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Council Member Stigney commented that he is opposed to expansion of the use at this location. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Director Ericson asked for clarification as to the level of park dedication to be applied to this 21 <br />subdivision. The Council indicated a 10% dedication would be appropriate. 22 <br /> 23 <br /> Ayes – 3 Nays – 1(Stigney) Abstain – 1(Hull) Motion carried. 24 <br /> 25 <br /> E. Resolution 7061, Approving an Abatement of Nuisance Code Violations 26 <br /> Associated with the Property Located at 5440 Jackson Drive 27 <br /> 28 <br />Housing Inspector Anderson appeared before Council and explained the Nuisance Code 29 <br />violations at 5440 Jackson Drive, property owned by Michael Courtney. 30 <br /> 31 <br />Mr. Courtney indicated that everyone has been courteous to him throughout the process and fair. 32 <br />He then said that he is trying to get things in his life situated and now he is unemployed and there 33 <br />have been deaths in the family so there are a lot of items that he does not want to see be thrown 34 <br />away. He further said that he got tabs for several of the vehicles and the Uhaul has everything 35 <br />that he owns for his job that he no longer has and he has made arrangements to get rid of two 36 <br />vehicles in the back yard but the pop machine is operational and he does not see a reason to get 37 <br />rid of it. 38 <br /> 39 <br />Mr. Courtney said that he needs to fix things and would like time to do it. 40 <br /> 41 <br />Council Member Mueller asked how long Mr. Courtney has been in the City. 42 <br /> 43 <br />Mr. Courtney indicated he has been here since 1994. 44 <br /> 45
