To Deny Resolution 7047, Approving an Off Sale 3.2 2 <br />Percent Malt Liquor License for Aldi’s Located at 2537 County Highway 10 in Mounds View. 3 <br /> 4 <br />Council Member Stigney thanked staff for the innovative measuring techniques but said that this 5 <br />situation does not fit the current rules and, unless the rules are changed, this does not work. 6 <br /> 7 <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Abstain – 1(Mueller) Motion carried. 8 <br /> 9 <br />This item will be back on a work session to discuss the Code requirements. 10 <br /> 11 <br /> H. Resolution 7056, Approving the 2006 – 2007 Labor Agreement with the 12 <br /> Public Works Collective Bargaining Unit 13 <br /> 14 <br />City Administrator Ulrich explained that this item was reviewed by Council and then reviewed 15 <br />the Labor Agreement for Council. 16 <br /> 17 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Stigney/Flaherty. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7056 18 <br />Approving the 2006- 2007 Labor Agreement with the Public Works Collective Bargaining Unit. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Council Member Stigney said that he hopes that the 2008 – 2009 agreement can be quickly 21 <br />negotiated with only minor changes. 22 <br /> 23 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 24 <br /> 25 <br /> I. Resolution 7060, Approving an On-Premises Sign Permit for the Mermaid at 26 <br /> 2200 County Road 10 27 <br /> 28 <br />Community Development Director Ericson indicated that Council discussed this item at the work 29 <br />session as there was a moratorium set in place to prevent new electronic signs in the City. The 30 <br />Mermaid is looking at replacing their sign as the old sign is unable to be serviced. 31 <br /> 32 <br />Director Ericson reviewed the requirements of Resolution 7060 with Council. 33 <br /> 34 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Flaherty/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7060, 35 <br />Approving an On-Premises Sign Permit for the Mermaid at 2200 County Road 10. 36 <br /> 37 <br />Council Member Stigney said that his comments at the work session were that there is a 38 <br />moratorium in effect to deal with public safety and Staff plans to bring results of the study in the 39 <br />spring. He then said that he is not in favor of grandfathering someone in and waive any 40 <br />requirements that may be made. 41 <br /> 42 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Stigney/Mueller. To Amend the Resolution to Require an Additional 43 <br />Condition that the Business Owner will be Required to Comply with any Changes Made to the 44 <br />Sign Ordinance Following the Existing Moratorium. 45
