RESOLUTION NO. 7083 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TASK FORCE WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View is required to update its municipal Comprehensive Plan by the end of 2008; and, WHEREAS, the City Council identified the Comp Plan amendment process as one of its adopted goals for 2007; and, WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the value of having a task force provide interim feedback and oversight during the amendment process; and, WHEREAS, a task force comprised of representatives from the City’s boards and commissions, the City Council, and residents at large would provide broad oversight and help ensure that proposed amendments would be in the best interest of the general community; and, WHEREAS, such a task force would meet once a month (or as needed) and serve as an advisory body to the City Council and relevant commissions throughout the amendment process. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby establishes the Comprehensive Plan Task Force with the principal purpose to review and oversee the preparation of the 2008 Comprehensive Plan Amendment, with membership comprised of one member each from the City Council, the Planning Commission, the Economic Development Commission and the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Commission, and up to four additional at-large resident representatives. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Comprehensive Plan Task Force would conclude its work upon City Council adoption of the 2008 Comp Plan Amendment.
