RESOLUTION 7066 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A REPLACEMENT TRIM MOWER FOR <br />THE PARKS DIVISION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council had previously approved the purchase of a <br />2001 Toro 328 trim mower; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said mower has been in use for seven years and has reached <br />its economically useful life; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said mower has a the trade in value of $5,650.00; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said mower will be traded in with an inoperable Toro 325 with <br />a trade-in value of $1,000.00 and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, $20,000 has been budgeted in the Parks Division 2007 <br />budget (100-4360-7030) for the replacement of the 2001 Toro 328 trim mower; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Staff has performed an extensive study and evaluation of <br />mowers that are designed to meet our needs; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Jacobsen Turfeat trim mower has proven to be safe, <br />dependable and user friendly; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said mower would be purchased under state contract and <br />thus forego the requirement to acquire additional bids. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT the Mounds View City <br />Council does hereby approve the purchase of a Jacobsen Turfeat trim mower <br />under state contract in the amount of $17,515.00 and approve the trade in of the <br />1989 Toro 325 and a 2001 Toro 328 at a combined credited value of $6,650.00. <br />Including tax, this represents a net City cost of $11,627.22. <br /> <br />Adopted this 14th day of May 2007. <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Rob Marty, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Kurt Ulrich, City Administrator
