Explanation/Summary (attach supplement sheets as necessary.) SUMMARY: The City of New Brighton has approached the City of Mounds View with the idea of amending the Joint Powers Agreement for Forestry Services. The amendment would provide for a change in the cost and personnel of forestry services. The change would reflect a reduction in cost while retaining the same number of hours and service. Specifically, the change would reflect one day per week of Forester Wriskey's services and one day per week of a New Brighton forestry laborer's services. The hours per week would remain the same but the cost of the laborer is half the cost of Forester Wriskey and that is where the cost savings would be. The other element of cost savings will be the credit or payback that the City of Mounds View will be given for the use of the Forestry truck by both the cities of New Brighton and Roseville. //i_, _�— _�� /ary aarion, Director Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department RECOMMENDATION; The City Council gives consent for staff to collaborate on an amendment to the existing Joint Powers Agreement with the City of New Brighton for Forestry services which provides for reduced costs while retaining the same number of services hours.
