RESOLUTION 7089 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, SETTING A BID DATE, <br />AND AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR THE <br />2007 SEAL COAT PROJECT <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on April 9, 2007 the City Council approved Resolution 7065 <br />authorizing the preparation of a preliminary feasibility report and the selection of <br />a consultant for the 2007 Seal Coat Project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on the basis of the City Council's previous action, a <br />preliminary report has been prepared and has been submitted for the City <br />Council’s review; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on April 23, 2007 the City Council approved Resolution 7072 <br />setting a May 14, 2007 Public Improvement Hearing date for the 2007 Seal Coat <br />Project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on May 14, 2007 the City Council approved Resolution 7085 <br />approving the Feasibility Report, holding a Public Improvement Hearing, ordering <br />the project, authorizing the preparation of plan and specifications, and approving <br />a Joint Powers Agreement with the City of Spring Lake Park; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, plans and specifications for this project have been prepared; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the estimated construction cost is $195,697.20 based on the <br />plans and specifications; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as per state statute, with an estimated contract amount in <br />excess of $100,000, publication must be made at least three weeks before the <br />last day to submit bids; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a June 21, 2007, 10:00 a.m. bid date will provide ample time <br />to provide the required notification to contractors as per state statute. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> <br />1. The plans and specifications for the 2007 Seal Coat Project, which <br />were prepared pursuant to Resolution 7085, adopted by the City <br />Council on May 14, 2007 are hereby approved as the plans and <br />specifications in accordance with which said improvements shall be <br />constructed.
