Orduno <br /> stated that each City had the same problem, they needed a full time <br /> building inspector. Mayor Linke stated that it is important that the <br /> housing inspections don't fall away as they are badly needed. <br /> VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> 7. Ric Minetor, Director of Public Works/City Engineer, reviewed <br /> Staff Report No. 92-246C regarding authorizing the Director of <br /> Public Works to sign easements for Long Lake Road construction on <br /> behalf of the City of Mounds View. Minetor stated that there are over <br /> 100 temporary easements to be signed. These easements do not have to <br /> be filed at the County and will expire after the construction is <br /> • completed. These easements could be handled less formally and be <br /> signed by the Director of Public Works. The permanent easements <br /> have to be filed at the County and require the Mayor's signature. <br /> Mayor Linke stated that he had received a call from a resident of <br /> Long Lake Road who stated he had received a letter from Evergreen Land <br /> Services stating that the project was being delayed until July 1. <br /> Mayor Linke stated that this letter was in error and the start date <br /> of the project has always been July 1. <br /> MOTION/SECOND: Wuori/Blanchard to authorize the Director of Public <br /> Works to sign temporary easements for Long Lake Road reconstruction <br /> on-behalf of-the-C-it-y-of Mounds-View <br /> VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried _-- -- - --_ <br /> 8. Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, reviewed Staff Report No. 92-247C <br /> regarding consideration of Resolution No. 4224 Urging Minnesota <br /> Congressional Support for Cable Legislation Providing Consumer <br /> Protection for Cable Television Subscribers. Orduno stated that the <br /> North Suburban Cable Commission has requested that all cities in the <br /> North Central Cable Television service area adopt a resolution urging <br /> the Minnesota Congressional delegatiori-to support-legislation-providing <br /> consumer protection for subscribers. The North Suburban Cable <br /> Commission's concerns are abuse by monopoly service providers, <br /> protection of community television and protection of the consumer from <br /> abuse by the monopoly service providers. <br />
