Mounds View City Council Page Three <br /> • ular Meeting April 27, 1992 <br /> MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Blanchard to award the cleaning contract for the <br /> City of Mounds View to Contract Cleaning Specialists at <br /> a Cost of $659 per month. <br /> VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> COUNCIL BUSINESS: <br /> 1. Don Brager, Finance Director, introduced Charles Clysdale from <br /> the Maguire Agency to make a presentation to the City Council <br /> regarding the renewal of various City insurance coverages. <br /> Mr. Clysdale and Mr. Brager have been looking into the <br /> possibility of the City going with a larger deductible, however, <br /> all figures weren't in, therefore it was recommended to stay with <br /> the same deductible at this time and increase the deductible at <br /> a later date if it would be more feasible. <br /> MOTION/SECOND: Wuori/Blanchard to approve renewal of insurance <br /> to Maguire Agency in the amount of $138,279 with a $5, 000 <br /> deductible <br /> • Councilmember Rickaby moved to amend the deductible from <br /> $5, 000 to $10, 000. Motion died for lack of a second. <br /> VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> Mayor Linke commented that the reason he did not second the <br /> amendment is that staff would be bringing back additional <br /> information regarding the deductible and at that time Council <br /> would have the opportunity to decide if it would be economically <br /> feasible to move to a higher deductible. <br /> P-JBL-I-C H RING: <br /> 7:25 P.M. - Mayor Linke opened the public-hearing to consider the <br /> street light utility rates that had been scheduled for <br /> 7: 10 p.m. <br /> Tim Cruikshank, Management Assistant, reviewed Staff <br /> Report No. 92-236C and Resolution No. 4216 which set <br /> the street light utility rates. <br /> --Councilmember Wuori-suggested that the rates be changedfrom monthly as listed on the resolution to quarterly as stated <br /> in the second paragraph of the resolution for consistency. <br />
