Public Hearing, Resolution 8005 to Consider a Conditional Use Permit for 8 <br /> Merryville Farms to Locate a Summer Seasonal Produce Stand Annually 9 <br /> in the Parking Lot of the Mermaid, 2200 County Highway 10 10 <br /> 11 <br />Planner Heller explained that Merryville Farms was looking for a new location and The Mermaid 12 <br />has offered their parking lot. 13 <br /> 14 <br />Mayor Marty opened the public hearing at 8:57 p.m. 15 <br /> 16 <br />Hearing no public comments, Mayor Marty closed the public hearing at 8:57 p.m. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Council Member Mueller asked whether there was consideration of locating this vegetable stand 19 <br />at the City property. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Planner Heller said that the use would have to be allowed and they tried to get an agreement with 22 <br />Walgreen’s but that did not work out. She then explained that the available locations are quite 23 <br />limited. 24 <br /> 25 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Flaherty/Stigney. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 8005, a 26 <br />Resolution to Consider a Conditional Use Permit for Merryville Farms to Locate a Summer 27 <br />Seasonal Produce Stand Annually in the Parking Lot of the Mermaid, 2200 County Highway 10. 28 <br /> 29 <br />Council Member Mueller asked whether this goes on indefinitely. 30 <br /> 31 <br />Mayor Marty indicated that it will continue unless there are any issues or changes. 32 <br /> 33 <br />Council Member Mueller asked whether the City can reconsider the CUP if there are issues. 34 <br /> 35 <br />Community Development Director Ericson explained that there is a condition of approval that 36 <br />would allow the City to reconsider for certain reasons. 37 <br /> 38 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 39 <br /> 40 <br /> I. Resolution 7099, Approving a Step Increase for Justin Solberg, Mounds 41 <br /> View PSO and Police Officer Ben Knitter 42 <br /> 43 <br />City Administrator Ulrich read Resolution 7099. 44 <br /> 45
