Mounds View City Council June 11, 2007 <br />Regular Meeting Page 11 <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Flaherty/Mueller. To Approve Resolution 7099, Approving a Step 1 <br />Increase for Justin Solberg, Mounds View PSO and Police Officer Ben Knitter. 2 <br /> 3 <br />Mayor Marty thanked Staff for bringing these to Council prior to the anniversary dates. 4 <br /> 5 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 6 <br /> J. Resolution 7033, Adopting City Vision and Mission Statement, Goals 7 <br /> Program, Values Statement, Rules of Conduct, and Action Plan 8 <br /> 9 <br />City Administrator Ulrich indicated that Council annually adopts its goals and mission statement. 10 <br /> 11 <br />Mayor Marty indicated that this information was provided to residents at the town hall meeting. 12 <br /> 13 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7033, 14 <br />Adopting a City Vision and Mission Statement, Goals Program, Values Statement, Rules of 15 <br />Conduct, and Action Plan. 16 <br /> 17 <br />Council Member Stigney asked about rule number 8 of the Rules of Conduct as he has issues 18 <br />with the language because he does not think that it is germane to what the Council does. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Council agreed that there was a wording change that does not appear in this version. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Motion withdrawn. 23 <br /> 24 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Stigney/Marty. To Postpone Resolution 7033, Adopting a City Vision and 25 <br />Mission Statement, Goals Program, Values Statement, Rules of Conduct, and Action Plan. 26 <br /> 27 <br />Council Member Mueller said that the original language said that council members praise in 28 <br />public and criticize in private and discipline. 29 <br /> 30 <br />Council would like clarification. 31 <br /> 32 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 33 <br /> 34 <br /> K. Resolution 7093, Supporting an Application for the Governor’s 2008 35 <br /> Bonding Bill Toward the Highway 96, Highway 10 and County Road H 36 <br /> Interchange Projects 37 <br /> 38 <br />City Administrator Ulrich explained that this item was a request from Arden Hills for support of 39 <br />efforts to obtain state bonding money for the upgrade of the bridge across 35W at County Road 40 <br />H. 41 <br /> 42 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Mueller. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7093, 43 <br />Supporting an Application for the Governor’s 2008 Bonding Bill Toward the Highway 96, 44 <br />Highway 10 and County Road H Interchange Projects. 45
