Mounds View City Council June 11, 2007 <br />Regular Meeting Page 12 <br /> <br /> 1 <br />Council Member Flaherty said that he would like to help out a neighboring city and noted that 2 <br />development of the TCAAP property will be a major undertaking for them. 3 <br /> 4 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 5 <br /> 6 <br /> L. Resolution 8002, To Permit the PSO to Work Full Time Hours Through the 7 <br /> End of August 8 <br /> 9 <br />Community Development Director Ericson said that there is some concern amongst the residents 10 <br />that there is a need to be out responding to complaints on nuisance code violations and there are 11 <br />some properties going into foreclosure keeping staff very busy. Staff is recommending that the 12 <br />PSO be allowed to work full time for the remainder of the summer and allow Staff to get a better 13 <br />handle on some of these nuisance code violations. 14 <br /> 15 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Flaherty. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 8002, 16 <br />To Permit the PSO to Work Full Time Hours Through the End of August 17 <br /> 18 <br />Mayor Marty indicated that he was working in Spring Lake Park in the Lions food booth and he 19 <br />met the Spring Lake Park Code Enforcement Inspector 20 <br /> 21 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 22 <br /> 23 <br /> M. Resolution 8004, Awarding a Contract for the Oakwood and Hillview Park 24 <br /> Playground Equipment Replacement Projects 25 <br /> 26 <br />Public Works Director Lee reviewed the proposal to purchase new playground equipment at 27 <br />Oakwood and Hillview Park. 28 <br /> 29 <br />Mayor Marty asked if there is any way to use resident volunteers to assist with assembly and 30 <br />installation to reduce Staff time. 31 <br /> 32 <br />Mayor Marty asked if there is an additional cost for the more neutral earth tones. 33 <br /> 34 <br />Director Lee indicated that there would not be an additional charge. 35 <br /> 36 <br />Council Member Mueller asked for information of where the equipment would be installed for 37 <br />Oakwood Park. 38 <br /> 39 <br />Director Lee pointed out the location on the map provided. 40 <br /> 41 <br />Council Member Mueller said that this would be an excellent project for an Eagle Scout. 42 <br /> 43 <br />Council Member Mueller asked if there is any salvage value to the old equipment or if it has to 44 <br />be destroyed. 45
