Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance 794, an Ordinance 11 <br /> Relating to the Height of Swimming Pool Fences 12 <br /> 13 <br />Community Development Director Ericson explained that pool owners had asked for consistency 14 <br />with the Minnesota State Building Code in regard to the height of pool fences. 15 <br /> 16 <br />Mayor Marty opened the public hearing. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Hearing no public comments, Mayor Marty closed the public hearing. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Mayor Marty asked about Subdivision 2 and the requirement for the latching mechanism at 54”, 21 <br />being that a 4 foot fence isn’t that high. 22 <br /> 23 <br />Director Ericson explained the subdivision that allows for a taller fence and requires the 24 <br />mechanism to be on the other side of the fence. 25 <br /> 26 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Stigney. Ordinance 795 an Ordinance Amending Chapter 1001 Pertaining to the 34 <br />Building Code 35 <br /> 36 <br />Community Development Director Ericson noted that no changes were made since the 37 <br />introduction of Ordinance 795 and explained the change that this amendment proposes.
