RESOLUTION 7181 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVING THE CONTRACT AWARD FOR THE YEARS 2008, 2009 and <br />2010 FOR RESIDENTIAL WATER SERVICE REPAIRS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City collects $4.00 on each quarterly utility bill from single <br />family properties, including duplexes, townhouses and condominiums; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City annually budgets and receives bids for residential <br />water service repairs; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has between 7 and 12 water service repairs a year; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the current Water Service Repair contract will expire <br />December 31, 2007; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Staff advertised for bids for a contract for 2008, 2009 and <br />2010; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid opening was October 17th, 2007 at 10am and a total <br />of two (2) bids were opened and read aloud; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the low bidder was Dave Perkins Contracting in the yearly – <br />per residential water service repair or replacement amount of: <br />2008 $5,600.00 total bid <br />2009 $6,200.00 total bid <br />2010 $6,800.00 total bid; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT the Mounds View City <br />Council does hereby approve a contract award to Dave Perkins Contracting for <br />2008, 2009, and 2010, to repair individual residential water services as <br />necessary in the City of Mounds View. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 13th day of November 2007. <br /> <br />(ATTEST) ____________________________________ <br /> Rob Marty, Mayor <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br />____________________________________ <br /> James Ericson, Interim City Administrator
