City staff also repairs malfunctioning curb stops. Discussion: The current three-year contract will expire at the end of the year and Staff advertised for bids for the Residential Water Service Repair Program 2008, 2009 and 2010. Five companies requested specifications: Capra’s Sewer and Water, Webster Companies, Northdale Construction, Dave Perkins Contracting and Grant Utilities. The specifications were written on a total cost per repair: all parts necessary to make the repair, plus the cost for all labor and equipment necessary to make the repair - one price for every repair regardless of how long it takes. Bids for this program were received on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. A total of two bids were received.
