Staff was directed by the City Council to research if other cities prohibit <br />Ultimate Fighting. <br /> <br />Discussion: <br /> <br />Staff sent an emailed survey to 40 cities asking if; (1) do they prohibit Ultimate Fighting <br />in their City?; and (2) if they did prohibit, then could they forward their Code/Ordinance <br />language. Of these 40 cities, only 12 cities responded. Below are their responses: <br /> <br />City of Anoka: “Anoka does not have a specific ordinance related to <br />Ultimate Fighting.” <br /> <br />City of Blaine: The City of Blaine is currently looking into banning Ultimate <br />Fighting. Their Code does not currently ban Ultimate <br />Fighting. <br /> <br />City of Woodbury: “The City of Woodbury does not currently have a provision in <br />our city code banning ultimate fighting. It is an interesting <br />discussion and one I will have with our staff.” <br /> <br />City of Coon Rapids: “Coon Rapids has not addressed this issue yet.” <br /> <br />City of Champlin: “The City of Champlin does not address this issue.” <br />
