Resolution 6714 Authorizing a Temporary One-Day Charitable Gambling 13 Permit for the Twin Cities North Chamber of Commerce to conduct 14 Charitable Gambling at The Mermaid on February 18, 2006 15 16 Assistant to the City Administrator Crane stated the Chamber of Commerce would like to 17 conduct a charitable raffle at The Mermaid on February 18, 2006. They currently hold a 18 charitable gambling license at Mounds View Jake’s Sports Café. She advised that the paperwork 19 on their non-profit status is on file with the Minnesota State Gambling Control Board and staff 20 recommends approval. 21 22 MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Flaherty. To waive the reading and adopt Resolution 6714 23 Authorizing a Temporary One-Day Charitable Gambling Permit for the Twin Cities North 24 Chamber of Commerce to conduct Charitable Gambling at The Mermaid on February 18, 2006. 25 26 Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 27 28 K. Resolution 6704 Approving a Minor Subdivision of 8140 Long Lake Road 29 30 Planning Associate Heller stated this minor subdivision request is for 8140 Long Lake Road. 31 Minor subdivisions are for divisions of land less than two acres in size in which only one 32 additional lot is created. The applicant proposes to divide the east 229.7 feet from the west 298 33 feet. Planning Associate Heller advised that there is a house on the east side which would 34 remain. The City would require a park dedication fee since it will create a new parcel. The 35 property, on the west line, has an improved right-of-way so it is not a landlocked parcel. At 36 some point, it could become part of a larger development project. 37 38 Planning Associate Heller stated it is also required that drainage and utility easements be 39 dedicated, which has been completed. She explained that a public hearing is not required but the 40 public was notified of the Planning Commission meeting. One telephone call was received but 41 no other opinions have been expressed to staff. 42 43 Planning Associate Heller advised that this request satisfies all requirements. The Planning 44 Commission heard this request in December and recommends approval. Staff requests the 45
