Resolution 6714 Authorizing a Temporary One-Day Charitable Gambling 13 <br />Permit for the Twin Cities North Chamber of Commerce to conduct 14 <br />Charitable Gambling at The Mermaid on February 18, 2006 15 <br /> 16 <br />Assistant to the City Administrator Crane stated the Chamber of Commerce would like to 17 <br />conduct a charitable raffle at The Mermaid on February 18, 2006. They currently hold a 18 <br />charitable gambling license at Mounds View Jake’s Sports Café. She advised that the paperwork 19 <br />on their non-profit status is on file with the Minnesota State Gambling Control Board and staff 20 <br />recommends approval. 21 <br /> 22 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Flaherty. To waive the reading and adopt Resolution 6714 23 <br />Authorizing a Temporary One-Day Charitable Gambling Permit for the Twin Cities North 24 <br />Chamber of Commerce to conduct Charitable Gambling at The Mermaid on February 18, 2006. 25 <br /> 26 <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 27 <br /> 28 <br />K. Resolution 6704 Approving a Minor Subdivision of 8140 Long Lake Road 29 <br /> 30 <br />Planning Associate Heller stated this minor subdivision request is for 8140 Long Lake Road. 31 <br />Minor subdivisions are for divisions of land less than two acres in size in which only one 32 <br />additional lot is created. The applicant proposes to divide the east 229.7 feet from the west 298 33 <br />feet. Planning Associate Heller advised that there is a house on the east side which would 34 <br />remain. The City would require a park dedication fee since it will create a new parcel. The 35 <br />property, on the west line, has an improved right-of-way so it is not a landlocked parcel. At 36 <br />some point, it could become part of a larger development project. 37 <br /> 38 <br />Planning Associate Heller stated it is also required that drainage and utility easements be 39 <br />dedicated, which has been completed. She explained that a public hearing is not required but the 40 <br />public was notified of the Planning Commission meeting. One telephone call was received but 41 <br />no other opinions have been expressed to staff. 42 <br /> 43 <br />Planning Associate Heller advised that this request satisfies all requirements.
