He explained that the Council also approved an alternate design for the 6
parking lot. 7
8
Director of Public Works Lee noted that six bids were received and low bids were reviewed. He 9
stated that staff recommends awarding the contract to Jay Bros. Incorporated for the Random 10
Park Building Replacement Project. Staff recommends bid alternate B because of less grading 11
needed, addition of four parking stalls and lower cost than Bid Alternate A. 12
13
Councilmember Flaherty stated he preferred Bid Alternate B to control the traffic better. 14
15
Councilmember Gunn stated she preferred Bid Alternate B to bring traffic away from 16
playground, as it has always been a concern for her. 17
18
Director of Public Works Lee stated Staff has contacted the property owners adjacent to the south 19
and they do not have any issues with Bid Alternate B. 20
21
Mayor Marty stated his only concern was if the residents in area would have concern, and since 22
they do not, Alternate B is a better all-around plan with site work needed and a bigger parking 23
lot. 24
25
MOTION/SECOND: THOMAS/GUNN.
