RESOLUTION 6766 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A REPLACEMENT ASPHALT COLD <br />PLANER <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council previously approved the purchase of an <br />asphalt cold planer; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said asphalt cold planer has been in use for fourteen years <br />and is scheduled for replacement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said cold planer can be replaced with a similar specification; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a Bobcat Cold Planer can be purchased from Tri-State <br />Bobcat, Incorporated under state contract for $9,334.00; steel surcharge and tax <br />would cost an additional $790.23; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the existing Dig Tec Cold Planer (AP 400 Series 2) retains a <br />salvage / trade-in value of $1000.00; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the 2006 General Fund, Pavement Management Account <br />(100-4470-7030) has $10,000.00 budgeted for this purchase. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> <br />1. The purchase of a Bobcat Asphalt Cold Planer under state contract is <br />herby approved. <br /> <br />2. A contract to Tri-State Bobcat in the amount of $10,124.23 for the <br />purchase of said planer, including a steel surcharge and tax is awarded. <br /> <br />3. The trade-in of The City’s current cold asphalt planer, the Dig Tec Cold <br />Planer (AP 400 #2), to Tri-State Bobcat at a credited value of $1,000.00 is <br />hereby approved. <br /> <br />4. Including surcharges and tax, this represents a final net City cost of <br />$9,124.23 to replace the 1992 Dig Tec Cold Planer (AP 400 Series 2). <br /> <br /> <br />
