Agenda Section: 9 . 2 <br /> OmDs REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION Report Number: 91-117 <br /> Report Date: 11-20-91 <br /> ���ti° STAFF REPORT Council Action: <br /> ❑ Special Order of Business <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE NOVEMBER 25, 19 91 ❑ Public Hearings <br /> ❑ Consent Agenda <br /> KI Council Business <br /> Item Description: RESOLUTION NO. 4142 SUPPORTING THE PLANNING PROCESS OF RAMSEY <br /> COUNTY AND ITS CITIES AND ENSURE THE ECONOMIC HEALTH OF THE COUNTY AND ALL OF <br /> ITS CITIES <br /> Administrator's Review/Recommendation: <br /> - No comments to supplement this report <br /> - Comments attached. <br /> Explanation/Summary (attach supplement sheets as necessary.) <br /> )SUMMARY: <br /> Since January of this year, representatives of Ramsey County and the <br /> cities of Arden Hills, Falcon Heights, Maplewood, Mounds View, New <br /> Brighton, North St. Paul, Roseville, St. Paul, Shoreview, St. Anthony, <br /> Vadnais Heights, White Bear Lake and White Bear Township and the Metro <br /> East Development Partnership have been working together to build a <br /> concensus among the County's governmental units in regards to the <br /> "planning and implementation of economic development programs . " <br /> The process has centered on cooperation, collaboration and improved <br /> communication among cities and among cities and Ramsey County in areas of <br /> economic development and redevelopment. A copy of the Status Report is <br /> attached. <br /> It is the purpose of all the participants in the planning process to <br /> inform all elected officials of the activities and plans for development <br /> on a County-wide basis and to secure their support for continuance of the <br /> planning process .
