Mayor Linke reviewed Staff Report No. 91-72C regarding Resolution No. <br /> 4129 Approving the Joint Cooperation Agreement between Ramsey County <br /> and the City of Mounds View for Community Development Block Grant <br /> Funds . Linke stated that the money received is used to undertake <br /> housing and community development activities primarily benefitting the <br /> 40 residents of suburban Ramsey County. In order for Mounds View to <br /> participate in the county Community Development Block Grant entitlement <br /> program, it is necessary to enter into a Joint Cooperative Agreement <br /> with Ramsey County. <br /> Mayor Linke entertained a motion for the Mayor and City Administrator <br /> to execute the Joint Cooperation Agreement. <br /> MOTION/SECOND: Blanchard/Wuori to waive the reading and adopt <br /> Resolution No. 4129 Approving the Joint Cooperative Agreement between <br /> the City of Mounds View and Ramsey County for CDBG Funding and <br /> authorize the Mayor and City Administrator to execute said <br /> agreement. <br /> Councilmember Quick stated that this is the third time the Connril <br /> has participated in this Community Development Block Grant Program. <br /> The money is received from HUD. The City applies for this grant and <br /> the cities share is approved by the federal government. <br /> Mayor Linke stated that he sat on the committee last year for this <br /> program <br /> and it was very interesting. Mayor Linke stated that he had <br /> received a phone call today from Everest. It appears that Everest has <br /> a tenant in one of his buildings that does senior housing. There may <br /> be consideration that this gentlemen and Everest would do work in the <br /> • City. <br /> 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />
