Mounds View City Council September 9, 19910 <br /> Regular Meeting Page Six <br /> Councilmember Wuori suggested that this gentlemen <br /> check with his hauler and see if the hauler would haul <br /> the types of items he had and check on the cost. <br /> Councilmember Wuori also advised this gentlemen to attend <br /> a Council Meeting and express his desires to the Council. <br /> Councilmember Rickaby added that perhaps the haulers would <br /> be willing to take additional items and if there were <br /> some things the resident just couldn't get rid of they <br /> should call C. ty Hall. The Environmental Quality Task <br /> Force is also working on this issue. <br /> 2 . Councilmember Quick - No report. <br /> 3 . Councilmember Rickaby - No report. <br /> 4. Councilmember Blanchard - No report. <br /> MAYOR LINKE'S REPORT - No report. <br /> REPORT OF ADMINISTRATOR 0 <br /> Mounds View Estates and the City (City Attorney Karney <br /> and Samantha Orduno, City Administrator) drew up a <br /> development agreement to require the owners of Mounds View estates <br /> to build a handicapped accessible unit as part of their complex in <br /> one of the buildings . The handicapped accessible unit will be <br /> built at 2275 Groberg Street rather than in the building that <br /> received fire damage which was 2310 County Road I. The <br /> reason the unit will be built at 2275 Groberg is that <br /> this building is closer to the parking lot and this <br /> would make for easier access . <br /> The unit will conform to all state and federal_gidelines. <br /> According to the Development Agreement, Mounds View Estates <br /> will prov' - - ' - - -5, 00ash deposit. The <br /> deposit is held by the City in the event the owner does not <br /> build the unit, the City then has funds to complete the <br /> project. <br /> Mayor Linke asked Mark Karney how the $5,000 figure was derived. <br /> City Attorney Karney replied that the figure was obtained from <br /> Rick Jarson, City Building Official and that this amount would <br />- - -- -- - be sufficient to put in this unit: <br /> Mayor Linke stated that he is in the construction business and <br /> that the hallways would have to be widened, the doors widened, <br /> the bathroom would have to be redone, the utilities in the <br /> kitchen would have to be changed and that a ramp would need <br />
