Coordination of the City's economic �s <br /> development and redevelopment activities. <br /> The 1991 appointment of a new Administrator <br /> affords an opportunity to establish a "new <br /> perspective" in City operations. Characteristic of the <br /> new perspective is the commitment to improved <br /> communication, services and attention to the trends <br /> which will shape the City as it moves into the next <br /> century. <br /> In May of 2992, the Council and staff attended a one <br /> and one-half day Goalsetting/Teambuilding Session. <br /> The purpose of this session was two fold: (1) to <br /> establish a foundation of teamwork from which the <br /> two entities could learn to interact in the best <br /> interests of the entire community and, (2) to <br /> establish the collective vision for Mounds View for <br /> the future. The vision was translated into the goals <br /> for the future listed below. <br /> Rehabilitate City Hall <br /> • <br /> Create methods for upgrade and rehabilitation of <br /> existing buildings <br /> Develop and plan towards turning Highway 10 into a <br /> City-Downtown—Bou evard <br /> Develop a financial plan of self sufficiency in <br /> development of the City. <br /> Improve and expand infrastructure. <br /> Build a community center. <br /> 9 <br />
