MEMORANDUM <br /> JUNE 3, 1991 COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br /> TO: MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL <br /> FROM: SAMANTHA ORDUNO, CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br /> DATE: MAY 30, 1991 <br /> RE: EMPLOYMENT POLICY REGARDING COUNCIL/STAFF RELATIVES <br /> Section 6.07, Subdivision 3 of the Municipal Code, attached, is rather vague in <br /> making a determination as to the permissibility of employing relatives of elected <br /> or appointed officials and employees of the City. <br /> The question has been raised recently and the need exists for clarification of the <br /> policy. This item is presented for discussion with the intent that agreement can <br /> be reached which will remove the ambiguities and establish a policy which is <br /> reasonable, equitable and defensible. <br /> so/mjs <br />
