Management Intern <br /> Position Objective: Conduct research and analysis for special <br /> projects as assigned, assist Adminstrator <br /> with Personnel Administration and alleviate <br /> administrative detail in Administration <br /> Department. <br /> Projects: <br /> * Develop Records Retention Program, assist Administrative <br /> Secretary with organizing and maintaining a central file <br /> system. <br /> * Create chronological index of development projects with <br /> correspponding documentation. <br /> * Act as oversight liaison for recodification of City Code. <br /> * Develop an employee orientation program. <br /> * Update personnel files in accordance with State/Federal laws . <br /> Retro-track compensation for each employee to 1985. <br /> * Assist Administrator in development of compensation plan and <br /> corresponding Comparable Worth Implementatiion Plan. <br /> * Chair Performance Evaluation Committee and develop proposal. <br /> * Coordinate development of a Business Retention program with <br /> Planning Division. <br /> Administrative Detail Management: <br /> * Proof meeting minutes <br /> * Handle minor complaints <br /> * Meet with vendors, salespeople <br /> * Attend relevant meetings, report back to Administrator <br /> * Conduct i ssue fol 11 ow-np <br /> * Prepare and complete surveys <br /> Proposed Compensatiion Plan: <br /> Salary Range: $7 .50 - $8.50/hr. (depending on qualifications) <br /> 5% pay increase based on performance in Dec. <br /> Benefit package: PERA, Workers Comp. , no vacation, sick or holiday <br /> leave. <br /> Position Timeframe: <br /> Starting Date: Mid-June <br /> Duration: 6 month to 1 year internship <br />
