Mounds View City Council Page Four <br /> Regular Meeting May 13, 1991 <br /> City Attorney Barney commented that the City is <br /> not waiving the park dedication fee and will never waive <br /> the park dedication fee. He suggested that the resolution <br /> be amended to reflect that by removing the word wiave. <br /> MOTION/SECOND: Quick /Blanchard to adopt Resolution No. <br /> 4079 approving the minor subdivision request by the estate <br /> of Arlien Newton as amended. <br /> 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> 2 . Consideration of Authorization to Hire a Part-Time.Temporary <br /> Building Inspector <br /> Public Works Director/City Engineer recapped the past <br /> couple of months with respect to the Building Inspector <br /> position, i.e. Jim Tobias resigned to take a job at the <br /> University of Minnesota and the City of Mounds View contracting <br /> with the City of Blaine for building inspection services . <br /> Public Works Director Minetor stated that he had received <br /> applications from three candidates but only one of those <br /> candidates was state certified. The candidate selected, <br /> Mr. Richard Jarson, was a carpenter and has accepted the salary <br /> of $13 .25 per hour as a temporary part-time building inspector. <br /> Mayor Linke inquired if Mr. Jarson was Class I certified <br /> or Class II. Public Works Director Minetor stated <br /> Mr. Jarson was Class II certified. <br /> MOTION/SECOND: Quick\Blanchard to approve the hiring of <br /> Richard Jarson as Building Inspector for the City of Mounds <br /> of $13 .25-pe —heur-beginning-immemdiately. <br /> 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> REPORTS: <br /> Report of Councilmembers: <br /> Councilmember Wuori - no report. <br /> Councilmember Quick - no report. <br /> Councilmember Blanchard - no report. <br />
