Mounds View City Council Page Five <br /> Regular Meeting May 13, 1991 <br /> Councilmember Rickaby was absent from Council Meeting due to her <br /> attendance in a moot courtroom case which is part of her education <br /> classes . The Council wished Councilmember Rickaby good luck! <br /> Report of Mayor: <br /> Mayor Linke reported that the Council, Department Heads and Staff <br /> participated in the goalsetting and teambuilding sessions in Chaska <br /> this past weekend. Mayor Linke felt there were many accomplishments <br /> made during the two days . <br /> Councilmember Wuori was ill and not able to attend these sessions . <br /> At these goalsetting sessions there was discussion by the Council <br /> regarding moving to a single work session instead of two agenda <br /> sessions per month. This would help staff be more productive and <br /> spend their time more efficiently. This would begin immediately with <br /> the first work session being scheduled for June 3rd. There will be <br /> no agenda session on May 20th. Henceforth, Council Meetings will be <br /> held on the 2nd and 4th Mondays and a work session on the 1st Monday <br /> of each month. <br /> Report of Administrator: <br /> • Reminder of Clean-Up Day, May 18th from 9 :00 a.m. to <br /> 3:00 p.m. <br /> • Reminder of Meeting of the Western Ramsey County Cities <br /> on May 23, 1991, New Brighton City Hall Re: Cooperation <br /> Efforts . <br /> • NSP is asking for a rate increase. There is a public <br /> . - - S . -. . - <br /> - May 28th at 1:30 p.m. at the Minneapolis <br /> Hennepin Government Center, 3000 South <br /> 6th Street <br /> Councilmember Quick asked City Administrator Orduno for an update <br /> on the Western Ramsey County Cities purpose for meeting. City <br /> Administrator Orduno explained that the cities who meet are those <br /> in the 621 school district area. This will be their third meeting. <br /> Meetings have been called as a reaction to the legislation to set up a <br /> committee to study cooperative efforts and cosolidation, i.e. <br /> consolidation of all City police departments into one county <br /> police department. The group also has put together a list of <br /> services which could be cooperatively shared with the other <br /> cities, i.e. equipment, personnel, etc . <br />
